Advantages
Strong probative value
In accordance with your activities we will ensure the digital signatures meet all required conditions: integrity, authenticity, solidness, unambiguous evaluation, international validity, long-term validity, etc.
Impact and risk analysis
In order to assess the signature value you should ask yourself: “Why do I want to place a signature here?” The greater the impact on your business, the greater the importance of the quality and security of the signature. We help you perform this analysis in a a comprehensive and accurate manner.
Flexibility
e-Signing is easy to integrate in any back-office and web-based environment, regardless of the platforms or programming languages used.
Outsourcing complexity
By leaving the fulfilment of your electronic signing services up to Certipost, you don’t need to bother about dealing with the technical complexity of it or accomodating to changing circumstances, such as the latest developments in cryptographic technology and standards, or changing laws and regulations. We assume that responsibility, leaving you free to concentrate on your core activities.
Long-term validity
A digital certificate can expire, be suspended or revoked. In that case, proof of certificate validity at the time of signing will be required. With e-Signing, we can provide this guarantee in two ways:
- by using and renewing signatures in specific formats (such as XadES and PAdES)
- by archiving all elements of the electronic proof in such a way that its validity can be verified in the long term, and its probative value remains unaltered
Clarity by means of a signature policy
To exclude any dispute as to the validity of a digital signature, the validation procedure can be specified in a signature policy. When electronically signing important documents, it may also be necessary to link additional data to the digital signature, for instance:
- the time the signature was created
- the place of signing
- the position or role of the signatory
- the nature of the commitment
By accurately describing this additional information in a signature policy and inextricably linking this to the electronic signature, validation becomes a clear and indisputable process. Certipost helps you set up a conclusive signature policy.
