Stijn Vander Plaetse leaves Certipost

Stijn Vander Plaetse, CEO at Certipost since October 2005, has decided to leave the company as of mid-February 2009 to pursue a new career challenge at Belgacom. The Certipost ICT and Customer Care Director, Dirk Matheussen, will take over as acting CEO until a permanent successor is appointed.

Certipost is a full subsidiary of De Post/La Poste. The company is a leading specialist in e-communication, particularly certified electronic document exchange between companies, private individuals and government institutions.

Baudouin Meunier, a board member of the Belgian Post, thanks Stijn Vander Plaetse for his commitment during the past years. Certipost has become a major player in the market of secure and authenticated electronic communications. The company’s client base has grown exponentially and its financial performance has improved significantly.

A successor will be announced as soon as possible. Meanwhile, the daily management and business continuity of Certipost are fully guaranteed by Dirk Matheussen, who has worked very closely with Stijn Vander Plaetse.
