Certipost achieves SAS 70 compliance
Certipost has the necessary internal control measures in place to guarantee its customers a reliable and stable service via its CertiONE platform. This was confirmed by the independent audit bureau Ernst & Young in an SAS 70 Type I statement.
SAS 70, which stands for “Statement on Auditing Standards Nr. 70”, is a globally recognised accreditation for service providers. This auditing standard was developed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).
Companies are increasingly outsourcing services to third parties. Trust and transparency are key factors in the choice of an external partner. A service organisation which can present a SAS 70 statement has a strong competitive edge. This audit report provides clients with detailed insight into what the service provider does to minimise risks and to ensure continued service availability. Moreover, a positive evaluation by an independent external accountant offers the client additional peace of mind.
The SAS 70 quality label confirms that Certipost complies with the international standards for risk management. “Certipost has proactive control systems ensuring the safe and accurate exchange of electronic messages via the CertiONE platform,” says Heiko Unterstab, Quality Manager at Certipost. “Our critical data centre systems are monitored 24/7. In this way we can guarantee our customers optimal service availability.”
Both the audit and the achievement of compliance are in line with Certipost’s continuous efforts to offer its customers the best services and solutions, providing the highest quality assurance.
