2002: Under the name of Certipost, De Post - La Poste and Belgacom set up a 50/50 joint venture which specialises in secure electronic document exchange. E-business specialist Aditel, which was acquired by De Post-La Poste e-Services in September, is integrated into the new company.
2003: Certipost receives the ICT Winner Award in the category “Best Practice in the Back Office” for its e-project at VCST Industrial Products, a renowned supplier in the motor vehicle industry.
2004: In October, Certipost takes over the activities of Info2Clear-SecureAttachment, a specialist in digital rights management.
2005: Certipost launches CertiONE, a consolidated electronic sorting centre. It is an open platform that brings together the customers and functions of the three existing vertical platforms CertiBusiness.Net, JCommerceRetail and myCertipost, into one coherent environment.
2007: Certipost launches its ‘e-Signing’ web service which facilitates the electronic signing of documents.
2008: Certipost becomes a full subsidiary of De Post/La Poste. The company grows exponentially and crosses the threshold of 500,000 private individuals and 50,000 business customers on its platform. In the Netherlands, Certipost’s e-Invoicing project at Sanoma Uitgevers wins the ‘Gouden Factuur 2008’ award (‘Golden Invoice 2008’).
2009: In June, Certipost introduces the ‘e-Contracting’ service for electronically signing, sending and archiving contracts. The continuous efforts of Certipost to ensure information security and high-quality services are rewarded with the renewed ISO 9001:2008 certificate and the SAS 70 Type II attestation.
2010: Gert Roeckx assumes his role as the new CEO of Certipost. Parent company De Post-La Poste becomes bpost and adopts a new, contemporary logo. Certipost keeps its name but also gets a new logo, compliant with that of bpost.
2011: Certipost launches a total solution for the exchange of invoices, whether they are exchanged on paper or electronically. The receiver can work more efficiently because he receives all documents electronically, no matter how the sender sent his invoice. And those who wish to send invoices partly electronic and partly on paper, can also rely on Certipost for the outsourcing of the complete stream of documents.
2012: Certipost increases its service offering significantly. Organisations can rely on the Certipost experts for a detailed and customised ROI analysis for electronic invoicing or the exchange of other business documents. To facilitate electronic communication, Certipost consultants visit companies to remove any barriers on-site.
